The Event

Winnipeg Whiteout Street parties are the city’s show of support for the National Hockey League team, the Winnipeg Jets. Thousands of fans gather to cheer while watching the game on large video screens with food trucks and drinks available. The parties have attracted international attention, both because of the city’s winning team as well as the intense show of support, especially when the team had a shot at competing for the Stanley Cup, the League’s top championship prize.

OUR ROLE

Event Director, Winnipeg Jets Whiteout Street Parties (2018, 2019 & ongoing)

  • Smith Events directed and oversaw the strategic and operational planning, coordination, budgeting and site management of all Whiteout Parties on behalf of the Winnipeg Civic Engagement Committee (consists of Economic Development Winnipeg, The City of Winnipeg, The Downtown Winnipeg Biz and True North Sports & Entertainment).
