XTERRA ENDURO Off-Road Triathlon

XTERRA Canmore ENDURO will return to Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park in 2012 with a 2 day format. A six lap 3000m open water swim will take place at Canmore's Quarry Lake on Saturday morning Aug 04 at 10 a.m. Following the swim portion of the event participants will drive to the Nordic Centre for the start of the 40km mountain bike portion beginning at 2 p.m. The trail run will take place on Sunday morning Aug 05 at 10 a.m.
Sign up for your choice of individual events / days or step up to the challenge of completing all 3 events. For those completing all 3 events, total times will be added to determine our Canadian Long Distance XTERRA Champions.
Swimmer check in will take place at Quarry Lake at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug 04. Please arrive with plenty of time to park and get set up. Mandatory pre race meeting at 9:45 p.m. Race start 10:00 a.m.
Rider check in will take place at the Canmore Nordic Centre stadium at 1 p.m. on Saturday Aug 04. Mandatory pre race meeting at 1:45 p.m. in the main xc stadium. Race Start 2:00 p.m.
Trail Runner check in will take place at the Canmore Nordic Centre main day lodge entrance at 9 a.m. Mandatory pre race meeting at 9:45 a.m. in the main xc stadium. Race Start 10:00 a.m.
Course Descriptions - Swim = 6 X 500m laps in Quarry Lake. Mtn Bike = 4 X 10km laps on the XTERRA Canmore Expert Bike Course. Trail Run 2 X 10km laps on the XTERRA Canmore Expert Bike Course.
Awards and draw prizing will take place at the conclusion of each event. Final results and special awards will be presented to overall XTERRA ENDURO Canadian Champions.
Canmore's Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge is offering all participants and family preferred rates. Mention SMITH EVENTS when making your reservations to qualify for room rate discounts.
